Bumblebee Power is an early-stage, VC-backed start-up which is commercialising high-frequency inductive charging technology. Our patent-protected solution has significantly superior performance in terms of weight, distance, and tolerance to misalignment compared with conventional low-frequency solutions.
The company has achieved strong commercial interest with significant customer engagement. Bumblebee is currently building a team of engineers to take our first products to market within the next year.
Bumblebee Power is looking for an electrical engineer with a strong background in power electronics design. The role will involve the design of MHz resonant power converters including inverters and rectifiers for mid-to-high power wireless charging solutions.
You should have a strong background in the design of power electronics circuits and systems, should be familiar with all the standard topologies, and have a good knowledge of circuit simulation software such as SPICE. Also, you should be familiar with PCB design, build, test procedures and have good experience of thermal management approaches. A background in wireless power and experience of CE certification is desirable but not essential. You should either have a PhD in a related discipline or have worked for at least 3 years in industry after a university degree in electrical and electronic engineering.
You will be joining a small team of engineering and commercial professionals who are creating products that will provide universal and automatic wireless charging for a wide-range of applications in global markets.
Please send your CV to recruitment@bumblebeepower.com and tell us why you think you are the right person for this job.
