Log Files

Bumblebee Power follows a standard procedure using log files. These log visitors when they visit websites—something all hosting companies do as part of hosting services analytics. The information collected includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This data is not linked to personally identifiable information. It is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like many websites, Bumblebee Power uses cookies. These store information such as visitor preferences and pages visited. This helps optimise user experience by customising content based on browser type and other information.

Privacy Policies

You may consult this list to find the Privacy Policy for each advertising partner of Bumblebee Power.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies such as cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons in their advertisements and links that appear on Bumblebee Power. These are delivered directly to your browser, and the advertisers automatically receive your IP address. These technologies measure campaign effectiveness and personalise the ads you see.

Bumblebee Power has no access to or control over these cookies used by third-party advertisers.

E-Scooter Trial at the University of Warwick (2022/23)

The purpose of the trial is to test and improve the performance, reliability, and usability of the wireless charging system in a real-world but controlled environment.

A live CCTV stream from two cameras above the trial location will be available for remote viewing by authorised Bumblebee employees via a secure app. The video will also be recorded. CCTV data will be used for the following:

  1. Correlating electrical performance with scooter positioning.
  2. Identifying foreign or live objects over the charging pad and ensuring the system responds correctly.
  3. Assessing how users park and access the e-scooters.
  4. Recording any malfunction or unexpected system behaviour.
  5. Providing a live feed to remotely check correct system operation.
  6. Showcasing usability to third-party stakeholders (investors, customers, authorities).

Data not useful to Bumblebee will be deleted within one year of the end of the trial. Participants may request video data up to one month after recording. When shared externally, trial participants will be blurred.
